Football Associations of all Greece

Dear Gentlemen

For many times the Association of Heraklion Football clubs feels the need to express its strong concern about what is happening in Greek football, with what is happening in the foreground as well as in the background.

Especially in the last few hours we watch a ruthless WAR, with inflammatory publications, fierce controversies, toxic statements. Events that cause DISGUST and HATE in pure football, events that drive the people out of the stadiums.

After our successive letters, essentially one of the few football players in Greece who has been trying for many years to come up with solutions, as the president of the Heraklion Football clubs Association I took the initiative on October 8 to travel again to Nyon at the UEFA headquarters where I had the honor of meeting with senior executives of the European Football Federation.

We have discussed quite and extensively all the concerns we have expressed many times through our letters and our meetings in the past.   As a result of this meeting I can conclude that I have found that there is a complete identification of both the anxiety and the problems that plague Greek football as well as the initiatives and efforts they make every day to find solutions to the problem of Greek football arena.

I would like to sincerely thank all the senior executives of the European Football Federation who accepted my request for the meetings in Nyon and which gave me the right to hope this time for the potential support of the International Confederations so that the Association of Heraklion Football Clubs and I can personally launch this new endeavor.

Guided by these meetings, as the Association of Football Associations of Heraklion we ask at last to take appropriate measures and decisions to ensure smoothness in Greek football. WE ARE CONVINCED that this can only be accomplished by the State, but also by FIFA and UEFA to REALLY express their will to do so.

One way is that the Heraklion Association has long and many times suggested that all players, the Ministry of Sport, International Federations, EPO, Major League Games, Super League 1, Super League 2, Football League and Amateur be on the same table, so that everyone can agree on a DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES AND VALUES,  a PRESIDENT OF  EPO UNDERSTANDING AND INDEPENDENT (not necessarily from the Union area), and a common sense administration from independent persons coming from all the football trends  with no  question about the morals, knowledge, passion and their will to work.

Something similar is of course also necessary for the Central Arbitration Committee, with a foreign possibly well-known archivist, surrounded by Greek well known prestigious and ethical referees, and with a foreign overseer with the greatest possible experience for VAR…

We hope that through such a meeting and with the help of FIFA, UEFA and the State, which we deem necessary and important, we will probably have a positive outcome ...

But what if they don't?

We insist that solutions are in place as long as there is good will and desire for a better tomorrow.
But a football GREXIT  that has been mentioned so many times by the International Federations will be catastrophic BUT only then they will realize that they have led Greek football.

We are at your disposal for any clarifications on our proposals, and it would be our honor to host on our island this possible meeting for the Declaration of Principles and Values or wherelse will be appropriate for you.

FROM THE  BOARD OF HERAKLION FOOTBALL CLUBS UNION
THE PRESIDENT
NIKOS TZORTZOGLOU
